Our walk in the Lord can be daunting at times, there are many voices, how do we understand, how do we move forward?
It’s simple yet often overlooked, it’s a matter of trust leading to obedience which leads to deeper trust. We open our hearts before the Lord, and seek to lean on His understanding.
Of the wisdom found in scripture I find it hard to surpass the simple yet profound words of Solomon.
“Lean on, trust in, and be confident in the Lord with all your heart and mind and do not rely on your own insight or understanding.
In all your ways know, recognize, and acknowledge Him, and He will direct and make straight and plain your paths.
Be not wise in your own eyes; reverently fear and worship the Lord and turn [entirely] away from evil. [Prov. 8:13.]
It shall be health to your nerves and sinews, and marrow and moistening to your bones.” ~ Proverbs 3:5~8 AMP
Trust is another word for Love
“It all comes back to a little plain, simple theology. We believe in the goodness of God and in the power of His Love to overpower and to overrule everything else. By the force of that Love, He can present us as mighty conquerors. When you set your heart to watch unto thanksgiving, to watch unto gratitude, and to watch unto praise, then what happens? Your life will be changed! You cannot live a week without something beautiful happening. You may think this sounds impossible, but in this way, even though you are defeated a number of times, you only have to keep adding up a few victories before it becomes a way of life.
It may seem to you like a sign of weakness, but you will experience the greatest strength you have ever known in your life if you set yourself on this course of gratitude and praise /and Love towards God. Then watch the Holy Spirit simply cause His Love to flow into your life. It will become the greatest reality you have ever known.”
~ John Robert Stevens – ‘Divine Love’
Every work of the Lord has it’s beginnings, and this is a cycle that happens over and over. As He moves us upward we move into a season of small beginnings, and the cycle of trust, gratitude, and praise starts over again. This may not be the fireworks that so many want to vaunt, yet never fear this is the work of the Lords hands.
“For who has despised the day of small things? Zechariah 4:10
Trust is walking with the Lord throughout the day, embracing the moment, and seeing the victories that become a way of life.
