The Sower and the Seed

The Code is within the Seed

“And He spoke many things to them in parables, saying, “Behold, the sower went out to sow; and as he sowed, some seeds fell beside the road, and the birds came and ate them up. Others fell on the rocky places, where they did not have much soil; and immediately they sprang up, because they had no depth of soil. But when the sun had risen, they were scorched; and because they had no root, they withered away. Others fell among the thorns, and the thorns came up and choked them out. And others fell on the good soil and yielded a crop, some a hundredfold, some sixty, and some thirty. He who has ears, let him hear.””
  ~ Matthew 13: 3~9

This parable can be viewed in several ways, we can look at this inwardly, understanding that we have all had various soil conditions from time to time. Or we have areas of our lives that are less fertile to the Seed than others. This brings to bear our need for humility before the Lord, seeking to have an open heart before Him, this condition allows for the Seed to take root. We all have areas within that are infertile to the Seed, this brings the need for searching our hearts, this is exactly what the Lord is seeking, our willingness to have and open heart before Him.

“Search me, O God, and know my heart;Try me and know my anxious thoughts; And see if there be any hurtful way in me,
And lead me in the everlasting way.”
 ~ Psalm 139:23, 24

The seed does not look like the fruit that it will bear, yet it contains the DNA, the code for the fruit. Once the seed in planted in fertile soil and with proper conditions the seed becomes the plant that yields the fruit, bearing the image the likeness of the fruit.

This is the code of Life.

The Lawless Spirit of Rebellion

Lawlessness opposes Liberty

In Light of recent events and the lawless spirit that is expressed we must see this through the lens of Truth. As difficult as this may be to hear this is true. What happens in the world is not a surprise to the Lord, we must come to view events not from our perspective, but through the eyes of the Lord. This is to say, “how do you see this event Lord?” and the answer then becomes our view. Proverbs 3:5.

“The earth is the LORD’S, and all it contains, The world, and those who dwell in it.”

~ Psalm 24:1

With this in view we can see a little deeper what the Lord was expressing here.

Matthew 24

10 “At that time many will fall away and will betray one another and hate one another.

11 “Many false prophets will arise and will mislead many.

12 “Because lawlessness is increased, most people’s love will grow cold.

13 “But the one who endures to the end, he will be saved.

The Lawless spirit must be seen for what it is

The lawless spirit resits the Lordship of Jesus Christ, it can and often does give lip service to the Lord, yet it will not submit to Him and His authority.

“Do not think that I came to abolish the Law or the Prophets; I did not come to abolish but to fulfill.
~ Mat 5:17

The lawless spirit is found in many different ways yet at the root of it, is rebellion. Rebellion or lawlessness blinds us to Truth and Love. The lawless spirit isn’t nor can it be subjected to Truth, for they are as different at Light and darkness.

The lawless spirit binds one to influences that regardless of how it may seem or how natural we may view them it is directly opposed to The Lord, His Truth, and His Love.

To be released from this lawless spirit one repents before the Lord, and receives forgiveness. This forgiveness is the key that unlocks the ‘ball and chain” of rebellion, lawlessness, and hate.

“Now the Lord is the Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty.” 2 Cor. 3:17

The Law of Nature reveals that the Higher energy always displaces or overcomes the lower energy, this is true in the Lord His Spirit overcomes the rebellious spirit we find in us through the first Adam.

Liberty is freedom from enslavement to the lower or base spirits that roam the earth seeking to stir discord, violence, and death to all that is represented in Truth. Rebellion is rampant, yet in the Lord we find the ability to overcome this spirit, and to live in freedom, free from the foul spirit of lawlessness. And begin walking in peace and harmony with Truth and Love.Overcoming is the Spirit of the Lord within us, overcoming the spirit of lawlessness within us that is opposed to Him and His Lordship.

‘He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches. To him who overcomes, I will grant to eat of the tree of life which is in the Paradise of God.’
~ Revelation 2:7
“For this reason you also must be ready; for the Son of Man is coming at an hour when you do not think He will.

“Who then is the faithful and sensible slave whom his master put in charge of his household to give them their food at the proper time?

“Blessed is that slave whom his master finds so doing when he comes.
~ Matthew 24:44~46

May we have eyes to see the lawlessness within us, repent before the Lord, and walk more fully in His liberty of Truth.

Submission is Trust

Trust and Obedience go Hand in Hand
Joseph learned obedience under Pharaoh.
Moses was led to the governing authorities for the release of Israel.
John the Baptist, submitted to the authority of his day.
Jesus had much to say about authority and demonstrated it practically.
Paul set many examples of walking his teachings out.

All set an example submission to the Lord, and to the law of the land. In this they all understood and demonstrated a principle that is valid for our day. They saw that even in the fallen systems of this age the Lord had something to express, and experience. This comes hard to hear when one has a rebellious spirit, this I know from experience.

“For rebellion is as the sin of divination, and insubordination is as iniquity and idolatry…”  ~ 1 Samuel 15:23

Submission to the Lord is where Trust is deeply experienced, and appropriated.
The Kingdom is within and our example expresses our Trust in the Lord and His ability to provide. We walk in Faith knowing that whatever may come, it’s His will that is of paramount value, and for this will to be expressed in obedience. We must be able in Spirit and Truth to look beyond what we see or know, and Trust in His Lordship at all times.

“Let every person be subject to the governing authorities. For there is no authority except from God, and those that exist have been instituted by God. Therefore whoever resists the authorities resists what God has appointed, and those who resist will incur judgment. For rulers are not a terror to good conduct, but to bad. Would you have no fear of the one who is in authority? Then do what is good, and you will receive his approval, for he is God’s servant for your good. But if you do wrong, be afraid, for he does not bear the sword in vain. For he is the servant of God, an avenger who carries out God’s wrath on the wrongdoer. Therefore one must be in subjection, not only to avoid God’s wrath but also for the sake of conscience.”    ~Romans 13:1~5

“Remind them to be submissive to rulers and authorities, to be obedient, to be ready for every good work”   ~ Titus 3:1

Be subject for the Lord’s sake to every human institution, whether it be to the emperor as supreme, or to governors as sent by him to punish those who do evil and to praise those who do good. For this is the will of God, that by doing good you should put to silence the ignorance of foolish people. ~ 1 Peter 2:13~15

“So Pilate *said to Him, “You do not speak to me? Do You not know that I have authority to release You, and I have authority to crucify You?”
Jesus answered, “You would have no authority over Me, unless it had been given you from above; for this reason he who delivered Me to you has the greater sin.” ~ John 19:10, 11

“And Jesus came and said to them, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me.”       ~ Matthew 28:18

A Promise Remains a Promise Until it is Experienced

Theory isn’t the same as Experience

In theory we can claim many promises, all of which can be true, yet not experienced, or appropriated in the Spirit and in Truth.

A promised meal is of no value until it is consumed, or eaten.

Mat 25:1 (1-13) Then the kingdom of heaven shall be likened to ten virgins of such a nature as to have taken their torches and to have gone forth to meet the bridegroom. Now, five of them were without forethought or wisdom, and five were prudent, for those without forethought and wisdom, having taken their torches, did not take with themselves oil, but those who were prudent took oil in the receptacles with their torches. And while the bridegroom was delaying his coming, they all dropped off to sleep and went on slumbering. And at midnight there has come an outcry, Behold, the bridegroom. Be going forth to meet him. Then all those virgins arose and started to put their own torches in order. And those without forethought and wisdom said to those who were prudent, Give us at once some of your oil, because our torches are going out. And those who were prudent answered, saying, No, lest perchance there should not be by any means enough for us and you. Rather be going to those who sell, and buy for yourselves. And while they were going to buy, the bridegroom came, and those who were prepared went in with him to the wedding, and the door was closed. And later there come also the rest of the virgins saying, Sir, Sir, open at once to us. And answering he said, Assuredly, I am saying to you, I do not know you. Be ever on the watch therefore, because you do not know the day, neither the hour.

The lesson from the parable of the 10 virgins is simple, until the call came from the Bridegroom, they were still virgins (unmarried). And the five wise virgins all entered the wedding feast together as a community, or corporate Bride.

Here is a promise from the Lord

“Be ever on the watch therefore, because you do not know the day, neither the hour.”

The Constant Battle

We must learn to hate that which wars against us.

Pride and independence yield the spirit of rebellion, rebellion is Adam’s mode of operation.

There is but one way for this spirit to break its release, and that is through an open heart before the Lord, the continual work of the cross, which leads us to submit to His Lordship.

This seductive, and destructive spirit of rebellion lies like a snake in the grass, and will not rear its head unless provoked, and then the fangs come out.

“The heart is more deceitful than all else And is desperately sick; Who can understand it?
“I, the LORD, search the heart, I test the mind, Even to give to each man according to his ways, According to the results of his deeds. Jer. 17:9, 10

Paul understood this, and expressed his heart before the disciples for all to see, keep in mind this was written years after his encounter with the Lord.

but I see a different law in the members of my body, waging war against the law of my mind[Christ] and making me a prisoner of the law of sin which is in my members.
Wretched man that I am! Who will set me free from the body of this death?
Thanks be to God through Jesus Christ our Lord! So then, on the one hand I myself with my mind am serving the law of God, but on the other, with my flesh the law of sin.” Rom. 7:23~25

Paul’s walk in the Lord was one of constant submission, and humility before the Lord, we can do well to heed his example.

Hate and how to use it.

Love and Hate

When the Lord addressed the Pharisees, His words were scathing, and it could be seen as hate, and I’m sure this is true. Yet what did He hate? It was the nature they were operating from, the nature was expressed as “their father the devil”. He did not sugar coat His words. It was point blank, He didn’t flinch. Evil, is opposed to the will of the Lord, and not all that is evil appears as evil, hence the need for discernment. When Jesus addressed the ‘blind guides’ He was addressing their nature, or the spirit they were operating from.

To Love Truth, we must hate the lie.

Truth is only found in the Nature of God, and His Nature is expressed in His Law.  The Law expresses His Nature in a way that we can relate to, that can become practical, and lived out here and now. Truth is the framework that the Lord expressed Himself and the law in.

‘I Am the Way, the Truth, and the Life”

From this we see how we are to be found in Him, established in Truth, living breathing examples of the Way, Truth, and His Life. This defines our walk, and our relationship in the Lord, and with others. Love is only found within the framework of Truth, and Life of Jesus Christ. If we term or frame Love from any other foundation it’s based upon a nature other than the Lords. This provides us the basis for discernment for learning how the Love and what to hate.

Hate is reserved for the false spirit, Adam, and all that it entails, this spirit cannot be redeemed, it was evil at the start, its root is pride, and it will not submit to the Lordship of Jesus Christ. Death awaits the spirit of rebellion

“And the beast was seized, and with him the false prophet who performed the signs in his presence, by which he deceived those who had received the mark of the beast and those who worshiped his image; these two were thrown alive into the lake of fire which burns with brimstone.” Rev 19:20

So how do we learn what to hate, its simple, the spirit that is opposed to the Lord and His rule, this is defined in Proverbs, and must be viewed from our Lord to be understood properly. Here we see the spirit of rebellion, and this the Lord does hate.

“There are six things which the LORD hates, Yes, seven which are an abomination to Him:

Haughty eyes, a lying tongue, And hands that shed innocent blood,

A heart that devises wicked plans, Feet that run rapidly to evil,

A false witness who utters lies, And one who spreads strife among brothers.”
Proverbs 6:16~19

Our only protection from the darkness that is found in the world is in the security of our Lords Spirit.

“The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I came that they may have life, and have it abundantly.

I am the good shepherd; the good shepherd lays down His life for the sheep.

He who is a hired hand, and not a shepherd, who is not the owner of the sheep, sees the wolf coming, and leaves the sheep and flees, and the wolf snatches them and scatters them.

He flees because he is a hired hand and is not concerned about the sheep.

I am the good shepherd, and I know My own and My own know Me,

even as the Father knows Me and I know the Father; and I lay down My life for the sheep.

I have other sheep, which are not of this fold; I must bring them also, and they will hear My voice; and they will become one flock with one shepherd.

For this reason the Father loves Me, because I lay down My life so that I may take it again.”

It is by His Faith we discern the darkness and embrace the Light of His Word, in this He draws us into His presence refining our hearts by the Fire of His Love. This is all accomplished by the workmanship of His hands.

As one awakens unto the beauty of Truth, one flees from the darkness of this age, all by the Mighty Power of our Lords indwelling Spirit.

As David stated we find this to be true.

Therefore I love Your commandments Above gold, yes, above fine gold.

Therefore I esteem right all precepts concerning everything, I hate every false way.

Your testimonies are wonderful; Therefore my soul observes them.

The unfolding of Your words gives light; It gives understanding to the simple.

Beware of the Leaven

The Pharisees are often well hidden.

“And He was giving orders to them, saying, “Watch out! Beware of the leaven of the Pharisees and the leaven of Herod.” Mar 8:15

To understand the intent of Jesus’ statement we need to understand what a Pharisee is in spirit, and keep in mind this has ramifications beyond the literal.

The word Pharisee according to Strongs means “a separatist, that is, exclusively religious;”

A Pharisee speaks a word that has Truth, that are from God, yet there is a lack of submission to God, hence the separation. In other words they are moral in their relationship. Its a simple matter of the Lordship of Jesus Christ, and their rebellion to Him.

A Pharisee can be the most friendly, easy to get along with, and popular individual, yet in the Spirit and Truth is coupled to the antichrist spirit.

Discernment is crucial and in this day of great promise, with so much on the line, we all will do well to heed this warning.

Mark 8
34 And He summoned the crowd with His disciples, and said to them, “If anyone wishes to come after Me, he must deny himself, and take up his cross and follow Me.
35 “For whoever wishes to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for My sake and the gospel’s will save it.
36 “For what does it profit a man to gain the whole world, and forfeit his soul?
37 “For what will a man give in exchange for his soul?
38 “For whoever is ashamed of Me and My words in this adulterous and sinful generation, the Son of Man will also be ashamed of him when He comes in the glory of His Father with the holy angels.”
