The Lawless Spirit of Rebellion

Lawlessness opposes Liberty

In Light of recent events and the lawless spirit that is expressed we must see this through the lens of Truth. As difficult as this may be to hear this is true. What happens in the world is not a surprise to the Lord, we must come to view events not from our perspective, but through the eyes of the Lord. This is to say, “how do you see this event Lord?” and the answer then becomes our view. Proverbs 3:5.

“The earth is the LORD’S, and all it contains, The world, and those who dwell in it.”

~ Psalm 24:1

With this in view we can see a little deeper what the Lord was expressing here.

Matthew 24

10 “At that time many will fall away and will betray one another and hate one another.

11 “Many false prophets will arise and will mislead many.

12 “Because lawlessness is increased, most people’s love will grow cold.

13 “But the one who endures to the end, he will be saved.

The Lawless spirit must be seen for what it is

The lawless spirit resits the Lordship of Jesus Christ, it can and often does give lip service to the Lord, yet it will not submit to Him and His authority.

“Do not think that I came to abolish the Law or the Prophets; I did not come to abolish but to fulfill.
~ Mat 5:17

The lawless spirit is found in many different ways yet at the root of it, is rebellion. Rebellion or lawlessness blinds us to Truth and Love. The lawless spirit isn’t nor can it be subjected to Truth, for they are as different at Light and darkness.

The lawless spirit binds one to influences that regardless of how it may seem or how natural we may view them it is directly opposed to The Lord, His Truth, and His Love.

To be released from this lawless spirit one repents before the Lord, and receives forgiveness. This forgiveness is the key that unlocks the ‘ball and chain” of rebellion, lawlessness, and hate.

“Now the Lord is the Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty.” 2 Cor. 3:17

The Law of Nature reveals that the Higher energy always displaces or overcomes the lower energy, this is true in the Lord His Spirit overcomes the rebellious spirit we find in us through the first Adam.

Liberty is freedom from enslavement to the lower or base spirits that roam the earth seeking to stir discord, violence, and death to all that is represented in Truth. Rebellion is rampant, yet in the Lord we find the ability to overcome this spirit, and to live in freedom, free from the foul spirit of lawlessness. And begin walking in peace and harmony with Truth and Love.Overcoming is the Spirit of the Lord within us, overcoming the spirit of lawlessness within us that is opposed to Him and His Lordship.

‘He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches. To him who overcomes, I will grant to eat of the tree of life which is in the Paradise of God.’
~ Revelation 2:7
“For this reason you also must be ready; for the Son of Man is coming at an hour when you do not think He will.

“Who then is the faithful and sensible slave whom his master put in charge of his household to give them their food at the proper time?

“Blessed is that slave whom his master finds so doing when he comes.
~ Matthew 24:44~46

May we have eyes to see the lawlessness within us, repent before the Lord, and walk more fully in His liberty of Truth.

“At that time many will FALL AWAY and will BETRAY one another and HATE one another. . . . Because LAWLESSNESS is INCREASED, most people’s LOVE will GROW COLD. But the one who endures to the end will be saved.” ~ Matt

This statement, “Because lawlessness is increased, most people’s love will grow cold.” leads me to the Law of Christ. This is the lawlessness spoken about here. The lawless is mankind that do not live by the indwelling Spirit of Christ, and THE LAW OF LOVE.

This I command you, that YOU LOVE one another. . . . . A new commandment I give to you, that YOU LOVE one another, even AS I HAVE LOVED you, that you also LOVE one another. ~ John

“For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has SET YOU FREE from the law of sin and of death. . . . BEAR ONE ANOTHER’s BURDENS, and thereby fulfill the law of Christ. ~ Paul

“Teacher, which is the great commandment in the Law?” And He said to him, “‘You shall LOVE the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind.’ This is the great and first commandment. The second is like it, ‘You shall LOVE your neighbor as yourself.’ on these two commandments depend the whole Law and the Prophets.” ~ Matt

In the New Writings, Jesus spoke of loving one another, loving our neighbors, and loving our enemies, in the form that he did and does. It was Father’s love in Jesus that came through Him in abundant display all the way to His torturous death where he became so disfigured that he could not even be seen as a human being. Humankind were Father’s enemies, enimies in our minds. Yet, all that he went through was out from his LOVE and his father’s LOVE in Him, and for Him and us.

“For thus says the high and exalted One Who lives forever, whose name is Holy, “I dwell on a high and holy place, And also with the contrite and lowly of spirit In order to revive the spirit of the lowly And to revive the heart of the contrite.” Isaiah 57:15
