A Day of Separation

15 Jan

The Lord is actively involved in showing His body the difference between the true and the false, and in this, calling us out of every false way. Doing an inward work in each of us as well as expressing to our hearts the outward meaning of this.

It is a day of great separation, making the distinction between the sheep and the goats, wheat and tares, and the lawful and the lawless.

Just as there is One True God there are false gods, there is Christ and the antichrist, this is very important to see, and it’s only through our submission to Him and His Lordship that we have the eyes to see this distinction.

2 Thessalonians 2

1  Now we request you, brethren, with regard to the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ and our gathering together to Him,

2  that you not be quickly shaken from your composure or be disturbed either by a spirit or a message or a letter as if from us, to the effect that the day of the Lord has come.

3  Let no one in any way deceive you, for it will not come unless the apostasy comes first, and the man of lawlessness is revealed, the son of destruction,

4  who opposes and exalts himself above every so-called god or object of worship, so that he takes his seat in the temple of God, displaying himself as being God.

Inwardly the Lord reveals our own lawless spirit, and exposes it for it folly. Here we see our error, and repent before the Lord, He is quick to reveal, and quick to heal. Those who have an open heart before Him.

The lawless spirit roams the earth filling the sons of disobedience with a false christ, and a false experience, this all has a form of what is true, yet it denies the Lord His Lordship, “Why do you call Me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ and do not do what I say?

The lawless spirit is Adam, the Adamic nature or satan, that cannot nor will not submit to the Lord, this lawless spirit is fully opposed to the Lord, even when it uses His name to deceive the world, using signs and wonders to validate themselves.

5  Do you not remember that while I was still with you, I was telling you these things?

6  And you know what restrains him now, so that in his time he will be revealed.

7  For the mystery of lawlessness is already at work; only he who now restrains will do so until he is taken out of the way.

8  Then that lawless one will be revealed whom the Lord will slay with the breath of His mouth and bring to an end by the appearance of His coming;

9  that is, the one whose coming is in accord with the activity of Satan, with all power and signs and false wonders,

10  and with all the deception of wickedness for those who perish, because they did not receive the love of the truth so as to be saved.

11  For this reason God will send upon them a deluding influence so that they will believe what is false,

12  in order that they all may be judged who did not believe the truth, but took pleasure in wickedness.

The lawless spirit is at work, and so is the Spirit of Christ, those who are led by His Spirit must be set free from this false way, and are given by His grace the discernment to see the false, and submit to the truth which is Christ Jesus.

This is the meaning of the day of great separation, it’s all a matter of our heart, and an open heart before the Lord is on that drinks in His Word, and His Word is truth.

13  But we should always give thanks to God for you, brethren beloved by the Lord, because God has chosen you from the beginning for salvation through sanctification by the Spirit and faith in the truth.

14  It was for this He called you through our gospel, that you may gain the glory of our Lord Jesus Christ.

15  So then, brethren, stand firm and hold to the traditions which you were taught, whether by word of mouth or by letter from us.

16  Now may our Lord Jesus Christ Himself and God our Father, who has loved us and given us eternal comfort and good hope by grace,

17  comfort and strengthen your hearts in every good work and word.

Under His Lordship there is great comfort, and ever increasing strength, this is the impact or work of His grace. Today there is a door open to experiencing this, and it all a matter of heart, a contrite spirit, one that is open unto the Lord, and His will.

2 Corinthians 6

14  Do not be bound together with unbelievers; for what partnership have righteousness and lawlessness, or what fellowship has light with darkness?

15  Or what harmony has Christ with Belial, or what has a believer in common with an unbeliever?

16  Or what agreement has the temple of God with idols? For we are the temple of the living God; just as God said, “I WILL DWELL IN THEM ANDWALK AMONG THEM; AND I WILL BE THEIR GOD, AND THEY SHALL BE MY PEOPLE.

17  “Therefore, COME OUT FROM THEIR MIDST AND BE SEPARATE,” says the Lord. “AND DO NOT TOUCH WHAT IS UNCLEAN; And I will welcome you.

18  “And I will be a father to you, And you shall be sons and daughters to Me,” Says the Lord Almighty

The Lord provides the discernment, the ability to see the false from the true, and in His grace the inward change of heart, one that is ever open before Him, supple in the Masters hands, and yielded to His Lordship.

There is a great false system in place with various means of displaying or proclaiming the Lords name.

In the book of Revelation we see once again the need to be separate from this lawless spirit that fills much of Christianity and is offensive to the eyes of our Lord. He is passing judgment upon this spirit, and just as He drove out the merchants at the temple He will denounce the lawless spirit that is a stench in His nostrils.

“I heard another voice from heaven, saying, “Come out of her, my people, so that you will not participate in her sins and receive of her plagues;
for her sins have piled up as high as heaven, and God has remembered her iniquities. “Pay her back even as she has paid, and give back to her double according to her deeds; in the cup which she has mixed, mix twice as much for her.  “To the degree that she glorified herself and lived sensuously, to the same degree give her torment and mourning; for she says in her heart, ‘I SIT as A QUEEN AND I AM NOT A WIDOW, and will never see mourning.’  “For this reason in one day her plagues will come, pestilence and mourning and famine, and she will be burned up with fire; for the Lord God who judges her is strong.” Revelation 18: 4~8
