Awakening to Our Oneness

07 Apr

We are beginning to see, taste, and experience oneness in the Spirit. This is truly our Fathers desire, and the work of the Lord. It is here, ours for the taking, we can experience oneness in Christ today. In the ever present now, our Lord is beckoning us to come into Him, to partake of His life, and to see the ever deepening meaning of oneness, in Spirit and Truth.

“But an hour is coming, and now is, when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth; for such people the Father seeks to be His worshipers.  God is spirit, and those who worship Him must worship in spirit and truth.” John 4:23, 24

To worship our Father in spirit and truth, is to enter into His oneness. This is made possible in our relationship with our Lord Jesus Christ, for He is the Way.

When you can see someone’s growth, joy, peace, wisdom, or fruit of the spirit, be it from a face to face conversation, or from other means, (second hand, or it being revealed from the Lord), you are experiencing oneness. This is very precious, and even contagious.

When you can deeply empathize with someone’s pain, loss, or sorrow in the spirit, and cover them in prayer, this too is oneness.

The exploration of oneness is something that is being heightened over and over, in  this we are truly exploring the Land of Promise, the heart and spirit of our Lord.

Oneness is seeing through the eyes of the heart, it’s allowing our Lord to reveal the beauty of who we are in him.

I pray that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened, so that you will know what is the hope of His calling, what are the riches of the glory of His inheritance in the saints, and what is the surpassing greatness of His power toward us who believe. These are in accordance with the working of the strength of His might which He brought about in Christ, when He raised Him from the dead and seated Him at His right hand in the heavenly places, far above all rule and authority and power and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this age but also in the one to come. ~ Ephesians 1: 18~21

Oneness is a deep stream, a treasure to explore, and gold to mine.

John the Revelator has some insight on this:

“What was from the beginning, what we have heard, what we have seen with our eyes, what we have looked at and touched with our hands, concerning the Word of Life– and the life was manifested, and we have seen and testify and proclaim to you the eternal life, which was with the Father and was manifested to us– what we have seen and heard we proclaim to you also, so that you too may have fellowship with us; and indeed our fellowship is with the Father, and with His Son Jesus Christ. These things we write, so that our joy may be made complete.”  1 John 1: 1~4

“…do not be grieved, for the joy of the Lord is your strength” ~ Nehemiah 8:10

hi Jim. Your description of what oneness in him looks like when we appropriate His love moves me.
in this age of love growing cold, and the darkness that that brings into lives, there are bright and warm beacons of Jesus love and truth shining across the land. I find small groups of people who love one another unconditionally all over the place, in and out of the church. The Christians that we meet who are walking in love and truth have an understanding that life as a Christian begins with our taking a hold of and living as one with our brothers and sisters. I also find unbelievers who seek relationships with others. Their hunger for love and truth is really a hunger for Jesus Christ, and I suspect that the Lord is raising up multitudes of small gatherings of His completely surrendered children, who will be salt and light to these hungry ones, showing them the way to God through Christ. sadly, that mission has been largely abandoned by mainline churches. This is starkly different from religion, which begins with this unity and is always striving for unity and oneness, but with earthly wisdom and human endeavor. There is a great gulf between these two opposing worldviews, which I think clearly defines the difference between those who walk in the spirit those who walk according to the flesh, in the church. Thank you for writing that’s beautiful and short piece that opens a small window into eternity. Blessings Greg

Blessings to you Greg, and yes I agree with your observation. This oneness is only found in the Lord and our submitting to His Lordship. This is of course, the work of the cross, or the circumcision of our heart that Paul addressed, and is mentioned in Deuteronomy.

“Moreover the LORD your God will circumcise your heart and the heart of your descendants, to love the LORD your God with all your heart and with all your soul, so that you may live.” Deuteronomy 30:6

Blessing to you and yours Greg.
