Faith

08 Aug

Faith is a supernatural gift

Faith is not a quality we posses naturally, or found in our human condition. Faith is the same as grace and Love. Faith comes from the heavens, and it can only be found as we seek the Lord with our whole hearts, leaning into His nature, His very being, His understanding.

“So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.”
Romans 10:17
This hearing isn’t our natural hearing, it is the hearing the inaudible yet Living Word of God. It is hearing from His Spirit into our spirit. This is why it is stated “Be still, and know that I am God: I will be exalted among the heathen, I will be exalted in the earth.”Psalm 46:10
We must allow our Lord to quiet our hearts and allow our Lord to speak into us. This is how Faith is imparted, and how we lay hold of it, or appropriate His Word, which is how Faith is imparted.
This Faith is the Faith of the Son of God, when we look at our linage Abraham, Rahab, Samuel, John, and others, the Faith they lived by is the same Faith we have available to us today, it is the Faith of Christ. We must see this in order to walk with our Father, for it is impossible to do so otherwise.
“But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.”
Hebrews 11:6

Faith isn’t something we use when we are faced with a difficulty, or when we are at our wits end. Faith is like spiritual oxygen, it is required to live, move and have our being in our Lord. Faith is absolutely essential  for life in Christ.

Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.
 Hebrews 11:1

Today we must see beyond the earthly realm of existence, we must see that the turmoil in our world requires of us to see beyond what this world has to offer. We must hear our Lords voice, for He has the Way to all Truth and eternal Life. This is why our father Abraham is called “the father of Faith”

“For he looked for a city which hath foundations, whose builder and maker is God.”
  Hebrews 11:10

Excellent meditation fodder in the Word. I appreciate this.
