To Hear His Voice
“So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.”
Repetition of the Word is needed, we must seek and keep on seeking our Lord for anointed hearing, and hearts that are supple in His hands. This is all in His grace, as Paul stated:
“For it is God which worketh in you both to will and to do of good pleasure.”
Our hearts have been and to various degrees still are influenced by our fallen nature. Our hearing is dulled by our human condition, we must see that we don’t see, and hear that we don’t hear. We each have a tendency to think more highly of our selves than we ought. We must seek our Lord for His Word, and see ourselves as He sees us.
A word of caution, be prepared to be humbled. We have believed things that were never true and these thoughts have become strongholds that like the walls of Gerico must fall. For the purpose of cleansing our inward temple, that we truly become a house of prayer, worshiping our Father in Spirit and Truth.
“Blessed they that mourn: for they shall be comforted.”
This mourning is from knowing we all are afflicted with spiritual leprosy. We must know our disease before we can be healed.
“…But their scribes and Pharisees murmured against his disciples, saying, Why do ye eat and drink with publicans and sinners? And Jesus answering said unto them, They that are whole need not a physician; but they that are sick. I came not to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance.”
“Hear therefore, O Israel, and observe to do it; that it may be well with thee, and that ye may increase mightily, as the Lord God of thy fathers hath promised thee, in the land that floweth with milk and honey.
Hear, O Israel: The Lord our God is one Lord:
And thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thine heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy might.”
“Blessed they which do hunger and thirst after righteousness: for they shall be filled.”
