Two Mary’s

11 Oct

Our Lord and His Body
I’m seeing how enriching it is to be connected to other saints, and allowing our Lord to work within us. This is where the Body comes together, at His feet.
It reminds me of the two unique Mary stories, Mary Magdalene, and Mary Lazarus’ sister.
Mary Magdalene is the lady who anointed Her Lords feet with oil, who did not care what others thought, she had a revelation of who she was, and who her Lord was. Her response is filled with intensity, passion, and abandonment, abandoning her human nature and seeking His Divine Nature. Her example is a clear one of worshiping in Spirit and Truth.

“Verily I say unto you, Wheresoever this gospel shall be preached in the whole world, shall also this, that this woman hath done, be told for a memorial of her”Matthew 26:13

The other Mary represents the beauty of setting at our Lords feet, forsaking all other activity, to listen to Him, and He is always speaking.

“…Mary has chosen what is better, and it will not be taken away from her.”Luke 10:42b

The question is two fold; can we see like the first Mary as our human condition or nature? And be honest enough to desire a complete transformation. Allowing our Lord to create us in His image, nature. This is vital that we see this need.
The second question is; like the second Mary do we see our need to rest at His feet, listening to His Living Word. Allowing His Truth to establish us in His Love, which again is His Nature.

Today if we hear His voice we must learn from these two examples, and seek our Lords nature with intensity, passion and zeal.
