Life is all about our choices
One cannot serve two kings, or two kingdoms. We cannot live a dual citizenship.
When we look at the Greek term that is translated church it is Ekklesia “called out”. We are called out of the low earthly realm, and into His Kingdom. This calling out is to see Life from a whole new perspective, our Lords, which is all possible as we enter into Him, walking in His Faith.
Today we see the great mixture, His people that carry His Name. Yet like Israel of old, they are trapped in bondage to a spiritual Pharaoh, and his realm of authority, abuse, tyranny, and evil.
There is a way to be set free from this bondage, and it requires of us to seek our Lord with our whole hearts. This requires of us to be open to hear His Living Word.
Today if we hear His voice, it is quite clear.
“And I heard another voice from heaven, saying, Come out of her, my people, that ye be not partakers of her sins, and that ye receive not of her plagues. For her sins have reached unto heaven, and God hath remembered her iniquities” Revelation 18:4, 5
We must have our hearts open in submission unto our Lord, seeking Him and His perfect Kingdom with intensity and zeal. To know and and to be known in Him.
His Love is stronger than death, His jealousy for us is white hot, and His complete ransom for us is without question.
Today we must see His crystal clear calling, and like Abram follow our Lords desire.
“The Lord had said to Abram, “Go from your country, your people and your father’s household to the land I will show you.” Genesis 12:1
Abram left Ur, his homelands, and sojourned to see and know His Lord. His walk is one for each of us to learn from, for Abram walked by Faith, the Faith of Christ. The symbolic language of leaving Ur, is indicating we must leave the ways of our fallen nature, and the ways of this world. We must see that our Lord came to express a new way of Life, and didn’t come to make this worlds system better. His Kingdom is not of ways of man, never was, and never will be. We must allow Him to wash the mud out of our eyes, to see the difference.
The Jews of old made this mistake, thinking our Lord came to set things right with the Roman tyranny and to set up a earthly kingdom. This of course was false then, and it is false today.
Paul’d admonition is one for us to adhere to;
Proving what is acceptable unto the Lord.
And have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather reprove them. Ephesians 5:10, 11
The ways of this age, and mankind’s nature are unclean in our Lords eyes. He is calling us out of this way of existence, and into Him, and His Kingdom.
“Wherefore he saith, Awake thou that sleepest, and arise from the dead, and Christ shall give thee light.
See then that ye walk circumspectly, not as fools, but as wise, Redeeming the time, because the days are evil. Wherefore be ye not unwise, but understanding what the will of the Lord.” Ephesians 5:14~16
The two are separate we must choose one or the other. Our default position is outside of His Kingdom, this requires us to be like Abram and to move, to sojourn seeking our true homeland.
Our Lords ever beckoning call to “come to Me” or to “come up here” is our calling out of our nature, ways and living, and to enter in His grace and truth, a new way of living, this is found in and through His very Life.
To follow our Lord in His calling, is to become the people He so deeply desires us to be, His in Spirit and Truth.
“Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding.
In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.
Be not wise in thine own eyes: fear the Lord, and depart from evil.
It shall be health to thy navel, and marrow to thy bones.”
