Faith, Grace, Works and Salvation

14 Mar

Paul eloquently lays out in many different ways the Gods Purification process that is foretold in the Law, as a shadow of good things yet to come.

All as our inward ‘man of sin’ is revealed and through the work of the cross, is crucified not by the hands of man, but by the very hands of God.

All as we abide in His presence, resting from our works, by we Faith agree with the workmanship of God to accomplish His will within us.

Paul also addresses another issue;

The enemies of enemies of the cross are ones who think they achieve this gift by their works, buy their thinking or belief systems. What this human works is saying I’ve figured this out, and sets to convince themselves they have interpreted scripture correctly and thus are in right standing with God. This is the Antichrist spirit that man is so prone to, due to man’s human nature.

His will is to purify our thinking and the divorce us from our sin nature, what in this physical life we are born in, all for the purpose of Gods grand design to provide for us the experience of our will in comparison to His perfect will and Nature. This work of the cross is all inward and by Faith we see the workmanship of His hands separating us from our thinking and the lies we have thought true for a Divine purpose His Kingdom and Life eternal. This purification process is all a part of Gods Divine order.

All to prepare and enable us to enter by a second birth His Covenant as a New Creation, not by our works or will, but by His works and will we enter our destiny.

This is exactly what Paul is addressing here in following scripture;

“Not that I have already obtained or have already become perfect, but I press on so that I may lay hold of that for which also I was laid hold of by Christ Jesus.

Brethren, I do not regard myself as having laid hold of yet; but one thing: forgetting whats behind and reaching forward to whats ahead, I press on toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus.

Let us therefore, as many as are perfect, have this attitude; and if in anything you have a different attitude, God will reveal that also to you; however, let us keep living by that same to which we have attained.

Brethren, join in following my example, and observe those who walk according to the pattern you have in us.

For many walk, of whom I often told you, and now tell you even weeping, enemies of the cross of Christ, whose end is destruction, whose god is appetite, and glory is in their shame, who set their minds on earthly things.

For our citizenship is in heaven, from which also we eagerly wait for a Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ; who will transform the body of our humble state into conformity with the body of His glory, by the exertion of the power that He has even to subject all things to Himself.”

~ Philippians 3:12~21

This subject all things to Himself is the inward work of separating our nature and thoughts from what was never not true, the Kingdom of God within one.

This work of Faith has an outcome, our Salvation and from this to reign and serve all mankind as a son of the Living God in Spirit and Truth.

“For the anxious longing of the creation waits eagerly for the revealing of the sons of God.”

~ Romans 8:19

Blessings in Grace & Truth
