“To the messenger of the called out in Ephesus write: The One who holds the seven stars in His hand, the One who walks among the seven golden lampstands, says this:
‘I know your deeds and your toil and perseverance, and that you cannot tolerate evil men, and you put to the test those who call themselves apostles, and they are not, and you found them liars; and you have perseverance and have endured for My name’s sake, and have not grown weary.
But I have against you, that you have left your first love. ‘Therefore remember from where you have fallen, and repent and do the deeds you did at first; or else I am coming to you and will remove your lampstand out of its place—unless you repent.
Yet this you do have, that you hate the deeds of the Nicolaitans, which I also hate.
He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the called out. ‘To him who overcomes, I will grant to eat of the tree of life which is in the Paradise of God.’
The first Love is beyond this earthly realm, it is our true identity the Kingdom within each of us. Yet our human reasoning is the veil of disbelief that creates the separation between that which was never not True from that that was never not false, our human reasoning. Therefore to repent is to see the need to reject our human reasoning all for the sake of the Truth of God’s Word.
As we turn to God and His Word we see the false shepherds the self anointed and self appointed “apostles” for exactly what God calls them, liars, this has an inward and outward meaning.
The awakening unto God and The Word is what brings one into the righteous judgement of God. Here The Word without any hint of ambivalence cuts, separating inwardly our human reasoning from Truth, and likewise provides discernment for seeing outwardly.
For what one sees as offensive outwardly is likewise within ones mind. Here the double edged Sword of Truth cuts both ways, inward and outward.
This separation is all for the sake of overcoming the world, ones inward world of reasoning and the outward world or age that is under the sway of satan and various evil messengers.
The last portion clearly indicates that as God’s children we have the need to become pure, and this is only accomplished by the workmanship of His hands, and the refining Fire of His Presence.
To overcome is to enter the Loving Judgement of God and the refining process He accomplishes within one, removing all that is false to reveal and establish one in all that is True, God, His Word and Kingdom.
