True Adventure

Adventure

The emphasis this morning is how desirous our Lord is for us to explore, investigative, and come to know Him.

This sojourn into His Heart and Mind is the single most important aspect of our lives.

We cannot allow ourselves to become stagnant, earthbound, land locked or shackled by the traditions of man.

In Spirit and Truth we must be “anchors aweigh” with our sails set to catch His prevailing wind, knowing that the sojourn is filled with uncharted waters, treasure to behold and life enhancing lessons to walk in, all in the beauty of knowing Him and the power of His resurrection!

Cast the mooring lines and “anchors aweigh” my friend.

I’m looking forward to meeting you on some distance isle and swapping stories with you.

Atonement

Atonement…at One in Him

This evening at sunset marks a High Day in the old covenant, and shadows the workmanship of His hands within His students, disciples and fellow sojourners in Spirit and Truth.

Atonement depicts our Lords heart for us to be reconciled unto and into Him, and He alone can accomplish this mystical and magnificent transition, one of His Life coming forth in our earthly vessels.

The physical nature of this Day was expressed in fasting, the denial of self, this display is a shadow of the inward work of His hands, the overwhelming presence of His Love creating within us a new Nature, His.

Blessings to the sojourners who are supple in His hands like moist clay on the Potters wheel, spinning us into a vessel of honor, and this honor is to carry His Nature, and to extol His Name with every ounce and fiber of our being.

Blessings

Faith and Grace

 Faith is a Seed
This life is to prepare our transition into a realm of Spirit. It’s given to each of us a measure of Faith. This is our ‘Seed’ to be developed and matured in Christ.
Today we must discern the meaning of Life, to do so requires our death. Death to our human based reasoning, and submitting unto the One who was sent to show us the Way, the Truth and the Life.

This is all in His grace, for of ourselves we are indeed helpless. Yet in Him, through His Faith we can become exactly what He desires to see in us, His Life.
This season we are entering proclaims a phrase that has deep meaning.

“Unto us a child is born,

Unto us a Son is given;

And the government will be upon His shoulder.” Isaiah 9:6

His Seed resides within us, it’s how this Seed is nurtured in Faith that brings forth the Son.
May we have a walk that like our father Abraham had, moving from our way of Life into our Lords way of Life.

“By faith Abraham, when he was called, obeyed by going out to a place which he was to receive for an inheritance; and he went out, not knowing where he was going.
By faith he lived as an alien in the land of promise, as in a foreign land, dwelling in tents with Isaac and Jacob, fellow heirs of the same promise; for he was looking for the city which has foundations, whose architect and builder is God.  Hebrews 11:8~10

Faith leads us into the Spirit of Christ, and in His Grace matures Faith within us, bringing us into an ever deepening relationship in Him.

This relationship is open before us today, we must see the beauty of this, embracing Him with open hearts allowing His will to be accomplished within us.

Openness is another term for humility, and humility is the key to Life.

“But He gives a greater grace. Therefore it says, “GOD IS OPPOSED TO THE PROUD, BUT GIVES GRACE TO THE HUMBLE.” James 4:6

Will He find it?

True Faith is Alive, Active, and Life-giving

In the christian world faith is a term that is used yet often misunderstood. Many express they have faith, or that when events are difficult its often said “have faith”, faith is often seen like a spare tire, you only need it when something went flat in your life.

Jesus made a statement, and it for us to understand what He meant.

“And shall not God avenge his own elect, which cry day and night unto him, though he bear long with them?
I tell you that he will avenge them speedily. Nevertheless when the Son of man cometh, shall he find faith on the earth?” Luke 18:7,8

What Jesus was eluding to what Faith is, when we see what Faith is, we also see what it isn’t.

His first question is regarding those that are seeking Him, and His righteousness day and night. In other words hungering and thirsting for His Kingdom, and His Nature, which is filled with Light and Truth. It is in His Faith they are doing so, for without His Faith we are spinning our wheels.

What we see in the next sentence is another question, will He find Faith. To understand this we must see that our Lord is looking for His Faith, which is a gift by His grace. His Faith is vastly different than our human based faith. We don’t work Faith up, and it’s not something we use like a spare tire, it is absolutely vital to our walk into Him, for without His Faith, we are dead.  “For as the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without works is dead also.” James 2:26

Faith that is alive, must come from a Life source, and this is from our Lords grace, it is an aspect of His Nature. We receive His Faith as we live and move into His Lordship.

Faith gives us eyes to see beyond this realm. Faith is the root of Trust,  that works inwardly, it is by His Faith that we yield ourselves more fully to His will. It is by Faith that we move, and have our being in Him.

Faith is our foundation

Faith is the source to Life. It is only by His Faith, that His Living Word becomes alive within us. It is by His Faith that we find our citizenship outside of this earthly realm. “For our citizenship is in heaven, from which also we eagerly wait for a Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ;” Philippians 3:20

It is by His Faith we turn our backs upon the ways of this world, and walk into His Nature. It is by His Faith we, like our father Abraham move from the homeland of our carnal thinking, into His realm of Life in Spirit and Truth. It is by His Faith, we embrace the work of our cross, and enduring all, Trusting Him who is Faithful and True with joy and hope. The Living Hope of His Life being brought forth in our life.

Living Faith works His nature into us, this is what is often misunderstood by many when they read, “And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness:” Genesis 1:26

This is a prophetic Word, one that only becomes true in His Faith. By our natural birth we are not created in His image or after His likeness, this is only possible as we in Faith allow our Lord to create us anew. This is Faith and works together, His Life bringing us into a realm of Spirit and Truth, and our sharing this with others.

We begin to experience being born from above, becoming a New Creation in His image, and likeness. Bone of His bone, flesh of His flesh. This is the beauty of His calling, to become like He is in Spirit and Truth.

So when Jesus asked shall he find faith on the earth?” He was pondering will He find those who are given unto Him, and living in and through His Spirit, all by His Faith.

“And without faith it is impossible to please, for he who comes to God must believe that He is and that He is a rewarder of those who seek Him.
By faith Noah, being warned  about things not yet seen, in reverence prepared an ark for the salvation of his household, by which he condemned the world, and became an heir of the righteousness which is according to faith.
By faith Abraham, when he was called, obeyed by going out to a place which he was to receive for an inheritance; and he went out, not knowing where he was going.
By faith he lived as an alien in the land of promise, as in a foreign land, dwelling in tents with Isaac and Jacob, fellow heirs of the same promise;
for he was looking for the city which has foundations, whose architect and builder is God.” Hebrews 11:6~10

Our walk is only in His Faith, and in this walk, our desire is regardless of our condition, or situation to be pleasing unto Him.

“Therefore, being always of good courage, and knowing that while we are at home in the body we are absent from the Lord— for we walk by faith, not by sight— we are of good courage, I say, and prefer rather to be absent from the body and to be at home with the Lord. Therefore we also have as our ambition, whether at home or absent, to be pleasing to Him. For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ, so that each one may be recompensed for his deeds in the body, according to what he has done, whether good or bad.” 2 Corinthians 5:6~10

May we see Him and find our being, our very life found in His Faith.

Unlimited

Life in Abundance

We are inherently limited in our ability to see what is set before us. We have been told that this life is framed by certain restrictions or limitations regarding our walk into our Lord.

This is a lie, and it’s time for us to enter into our Lord with the same zeal, the same openness, the same passion that He has for us. This is without question our greatest need at this hour. We must allow our Lord to speak to us, anointing our hearts and our hearing so we can be set free from what inhibits our walk, this is none other than our nature. This is why we have been given this command.

“Hear, O Israel: The LORD our God is one LORD:  And thou shalt love the LORD thy God with all thine heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy might” Deuteronomy 6:4, 5

What we are lacking is moving into the intent of this Word. Our nature is opposed to this, and regardless of how we think, it is true.

What we need is a new revelation, a new heart, one that is fully open to our Lord. One that is supple in His hands, so that He can move in and through us as He so deeply desires to do.

Whatever we’ve seen, understood or experienced in our walk must be considered as preparation for a new Day.

Paul expressed this elequently:

That I may know him, and the power of his resurrection, and the fellowship of his sufferings, being made conformable unto his death; If by any means I might attain unto the resurrection of the dead.

Philippians 3:10, 11

The greatest love we can express to our Lord is to follow in His footsteps, being and becoming conformed unto His death. Allowing Him to overcome our nature with His nature. This is our reasonable response to His love. No longer conformed to the world of Adam, and it’s rebellious chaos. And entering His rest. This is what the Sabbath portrayes, ceasing from our ways, and entering His nature in Spirit and Truth.

Our Lord is unlimited in ability, power and authority. He is wide open in His expression, inviting us to move into Him with our whole heart. Do not think this is only a future event, or allow any thinking to limit Him. For when we do, we effectively close the door to His ability to move in us.

This is all a matter of walking in His Faith.

“Say not ye, There are yet four months, and then cometh harvest? behold, I say unto you, Lift up your eyes, and look on the fields; for they are white already to harvest” John 4:35

The same Lord that instantly changed water to wine, healed the sick, and opened the eyes of the blind is active within His body today. We must move into His unlimited Nature and allow Him in His grace to conform us in His likeness and image.

“But the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth: for the Father seeketh such to worship him. God is Spirit: and they that worship Him must worship in spirit and in truth.”

John 4:23~25

How to Walk

Gen. 17:1 The Lord expressed how Abram was to walk, and although he wasn’t perfect in his walk, he was blameless.

“Now when Abram was ninety-nine years old, the LORD appeared to Abram and said to him, “I am God Almighty; Walk before Me, and be blameless.
“I will establish My covenant between Me and you, And I will multiply you exceedingly.”
Abram fell on his face…” Genesis 17:1~3a

Abraham was faithful in his walk, learning obedience through the things he suffered. Ismael, lies, and whatever else did not deter him. He kept his focus upon who was leading him, and is an example and encouragement to those of us who walk in the spirit of Isaac, as sons of Abraham.
Our walk is indeed like Abraham’s, we are to allow the Lord to be exactly what He is…Our Lord. Not by our human thinking or strength, but in and through His very presence. This is the intent of His grace. This is what Paul was referring to when he stated; “But by the grace of God I am what I am, and His grace toward me did not prove vain; but I labored even more than all of them, yet not I, but the grace of God with me.” I Cor.15:10

Today is Ever Present

Jesus said;
“The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand; repent and believe in the gospel.” Mark 1:15

Today is always at hand

Jesus expressed the Kingdom was at hand 2000 years ago, and it at hand today. Our responsibility is to repent, see that our flesh nature is opposed to the Lord. (Rom.8:7)

To live in a state of constant repentance, or openness to Him. To believe the gospel and keep believing His Word, seeing that we only understand in part, and must keep pressing into Him as He is our “Way, Truth, and Life”.

Seeing His Kingdom
It’s not to be seen as historical, though it is, and it’s not to be seen as futuristic, though it is. It’s to be seen as at hand.

When something is at hand, one can reach and obtain it. This is what our Lord is expressing, He and His Kingdom are here and now for us to partake of, to abide in, and to experience today.

The issue is, there are many who teach the gospel from a perspective that limits our understanding. We must come to see that the Living Word is active today. Our response to our Lord is to hear His voice, and repent, which is our duty.

Hebrews 3: 7~19

“Therefore, as the Holy Spirit says:

“Today, if you will hear His voice,
Do not harden your hearts as in the rebellion,
In the day of trial in the wilderness,
Where your fathers tested Me, tried Me,
And saw My works forty years.
Therefore I was angry with that generation,
And said, ‘They always go astray in their heart,
And they have not known My ways.’
So I swore in My wrath,
‘They shall not enter My rest.’”

Beware, brethren, lest there be in any of you an evil heart of unbelief in departing from the living God; but exhort one another daily, while it is called “Today,” lest any of you be hardened through the deceitfulness of sin. For we have become partakers of Christ if we hold the beginning of our confidence steadfast to the end, while it is said:

“Today, if you will hear His voice,
Do not harden your hearts as in the rebellion.”

For who, having heard, rebelled? Indeed, was it not all who came out of Egypt, led by Moses?  Now with whom was He angry forty years? Was it not with those who sinned, whose corpses fell in the wilderness? And to whom did He swear that they would not enter His rest, but to those who did not obey?  So we see that they could not enter in because of unbelief.”

Blessing
