To Honor is to Esteem, Cherish, to Love

The First Commandment, with a Promise

Honor your Father and Mother, this has far reaching significance, well beyond earthly or physical relationships, indicating our true parents. This is symbolized by Truth & Love, Spirit & Truth or Heart & Mind — our Father and Mother from above. We must see beyond the literal to glean the Truth expressed by our Lord. For we have in the Heavens our Father, and Mother, and it is for our well being to see this, and more importantly to reflect this honor, and Love in Spirit and Truth.

“Children, obey your parents in the Lord, for this is right.

HONOR YOUR FATHER AND MOTHER (which is the first commandment with a promise),

SO THAT IT MAY BE WELL WITH YOU, AND THAT YOU MAY LIVE LONG ON THE EARTH.”

Ephesians 6:1~3

Our brother Paul was addressing family structure, and this is to be seen as applicable on earth as it is in the Heavens. This Living Word is true for all time and beyond. We must see this with His eyes of Faith.

Our True Parents are found above, as omniscient, omnipresent and omnipotent, all knowing, all present, and all powerful. With the character or personality described in a word, Love. All that is said, and accomplished within their children is for the purpose of Living Love. For us to know Love, and to reflect, embody their Nature,Love.

Paul also addressed this;

For it is written that Abraham had two sons, one by the bondwoman and one by the free woman.
But the son by the bondwoman was born according to the flesh, and the son by the free woman through the promise.
This is allegorically speaking, for these women are two covenants: one proceeding from Mount Sinai bearing children who are to be slaves; she is Hagar.
Now this Hagar is Mount Sinai in Arabia and corresponds to the present Jerusalem, for she is in slavery with her children.
But the Jerusalem above is free; she is our mother.

Galatians 4:22~26

This was and is the meaning of the Life of Jesus Christ, to express the perfect will of our Parents. He in Spirit and Truth displayed and communicated this in His earthly ministry. His Life reflected  Truth in Love. Revealing to us the Way to live, and that is in submission to our Father.

His Life is to become our life, and in His Faith through Grace we can become the children our Father and Mother long for, all in Spirit and Truth.

There is but one Way we accomplish this, it is in and through the Son of God, Jesus Christ. His message is crystal clear, we must have the humility to see, and the Grace to submit to His Lordship. Nothing pleases our Father more than to see His Son’s Life coming forward in His children. It is in this that we begin to know the depths of Love, the beauty, wonder, and magnificence of True Love. There is nothing in creation more precious than to know Him and the Power of His Love. This is the Good News!

The entirety of scripture reveals the Son, and the Son reveals the Father, and in this we find the meaning of Life, and how to live Life.

Near the end of Jesus’ walk on earth He knew His work was complete, and His prayer is for us to see being fulfilled in our lives and we learn to walk the path He leads us on.

“The glory which You have given Me I have given to them, that they may be one, just as We are one; I in them and You in Me, that they may be perfected in unity, so that the world may know that You sent Me, and loved them, even as You have loved Me.

“Father, I desire that they also, whom You have given Me, be with Me where I am, so that they may see My glory which You have given Me, for You loved Me before the foundation of the world.

“O righteous Father, although the world has not known You, yet I have known You; and these have known that You sent Me; and I have made Your name known to them, and will make it known, so that the love with which You loved Me may be in them, and I in them.”

John 17: 22~26

We Honor our Father and Mother by becoming conformed in the image and likeness of The Son whom He Loves.

Move out to Move In

His Ways are Much Higher

This morning our Lord is opening my heart up to see beyond what I’ve previously understood.

I’ll say that our calling in much more important than we currently see or understand, and it is incumbent upon us to seek and keep seeking our Lords heart.

Whatever enlightenment we have, is only so we can have a greater enlightenment today.

We must be open to our Lords desire to show us more and more of Him.

This is Isaiah 43:18, 19, and He asks us…will you be aware of it???

He pierced my heart this morning with two things.

  • The foolishness of the political realm, and the attention I was giving it.

  • The vital, critical and significant purpose of Him and my need to have my heart set in this realm.

He asked me, “when did you see me teach the disciples to be involved with Caesar?”

Our calling is an ever present calling of moving out of our limited, fallen, and rebellious nature. And moving into His unlimited, righteous, and subservient Nature.

Paul expressed this, and there is so much to see here, remembering we are to ask and keep asking, seek and keep seeking our Lord and His fullness.

Ephesians 1:19~23
The eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that ye may know what is the hope of his calling, and what the riches of the glory of his inheritance in the saints,
And what the exceeding greatness of his power to us-ward who believe, according to the working of his mighty power,
Which he wrought in Christ, when he raised him from the dead, and set at his own right hand in the heavenly,
Far above all principality, and power, and might, and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this world, but also in that which is to come:
And hath put all under his feet, and gave him the head over all  to the church,
Which is his body, the fulness of him that filleth all in all.

This is a new day….

The Higher Way

Our Lord didn’t come to explain this world, but to reveal our Fathers world.

In this He reveals that our nature and His are in direct conflict, and in order to comply with our Fathers world we need a blood transfusion. A new DNA, one that is pure, humble, and founded in Love.
When He spoke from the Mountain, He was revealing a higher life form, His. And how we are able to enter it, this requires a birth from above. One that has nothing to to with gender, race, or humanity, but one that comes through our Fathers will.
In this we begin to awaken to His Way.

Matthew 5:3~9

Blessed the poor in spirit: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.
Blessed they that mourn: for they shall be comforted.
Blessed the meek: for they shall inherit the earth.
Blessed they which do hunger and thirst after righteousness: for they shall be filled.
Blessed the merciful: for they shall obtain mercy.
Blessed the pure in heart: for they shall see God.
Blessed the peacemakers: for they shall be called the children of God.

Regardless of what we may think, the above verses are impossible for us to fulfill, and they require us to see our nature, and understand that it is, and always will be in rebellion to His Way, Truth and Life.

Our only hope is in death, death to our will, our perceptions, and our religious nature. This requires us to submit unto Him, and learn to live in and through His grace, which is His presence.

Today there is an ever heightening need for His nature to be expressed here in this earth. All in and though His grace, and His grace is more than sufficient for our vast needs. Our Lord provides us the ability to transcend our nature, and to be overcome by His Nature. From this we are empowered to live and express the above verses, all in His divine power, and to His glory.

The Rock and rocks

Drop the rock, and Live in The Rock

John 8: 1~11

But Jesus went to the Mount of Olives

. At dawn he appeared again in the temple courts, where all the people gathered around him, and he sat down to teach them. The teachers of the law and the Pharisees brought in a woman caught in adultery. They made her stand before the group and said to Jesus, “Teacher, this woman was caught in the act of adultery. In the Law Moses commanded us to stone such women. Now what do you say?”

They were using this question as a trap, in order to have a basis for accusing him.

But Jesus bent down and started to write on the ground with his finger. When they kept on questioning him, he straightened up and said to them, “If any one of you is without sin, let him be the first to throw a stone at her.”

Again he stooped down and wrote on the ground.

At this, those who heard began to go away one at a time, the older ones first, until only Jesus was left, with the woman still standing there.

Jesus straightened up and asked her, “Woman, where are they? Has no one condemned you?”

 “No one, sir,” she said.

“Then neither do I condemn you,” Jesus declared. “Go now and leave your life of sin.”

I see community in these passages, the ugly truth, our common guilt, and our common hope.

We are all guilty of adultery, we have and more often that we care to admit commit this sin. We have been bought; we are the bride of Christ. We have pledged our faithful devotion to the One who Loves, and is Love.

Gut check time, how have we lacked in our commitment, how often have we jumped into the bed of sin? Sin is our nature, the ways of this age, we all are born in sin. It is only in a rebirth, a birth from above that we can become set free from our nature.

How often have we been the accuser, how often have we been in the woman’s sandals? How often have we been on both sides of this equation, at the same time? The truth is the truth, we have felt the white hot guilt, heard the voices of condemnation, even from within, “you just don’t measure up, look at yourself, who do you think you are?”

As she stood before Jesus, she knew her guilt. She knew without a doubt her fallen condition, she knew what was next. This was a common event, she has seen, or she had heard the talk around town. She was caught red handed. This was her future and she knew it, all according to the literal understanding of scripture. The letter of the law kills, but…

Imagine the fear, and then imagine Jesus’ words, followed by the sounds of rocks dropping. Rocks dropped not thrown. Then she stood before this man, and this was uncomfortable, His behavior had to increase her fear. He was just scratching something in the dust, not making eye contact. The moments had to seem like hours, and then He spoke.

“Woman, where are they?”  Her self-righteous judges had sulked away, and then she hears words spoken with authority, and grace. Her first experience with grace and truth had to have been life changing!

“Then neither do I condemn you,” Jesus declared. “Go now and leave your life of sin.”

May we see the rocks in our hands, and drop them. May we see our grace, and go and do likewise to others. May we see our ability, our proclivity to be both judge and sinner, and may we, “Go and leave your life of sin”.

What a Savior, unequaled then, and today, and for eternity, in  Jesus the Christ!

“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved. He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God. And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil. For every one that doeth evil hateth the light, neither cometh to the light, lest his deeds should be reproved. But he that doeth truth cometh to the light, that his deeds may be made manifest, that they are wrought in God.”
John 3:16~22

His command to “go and sin no more” was for her,and us to see the Light, and to submit ourselves to The Light. For it is only in Him that knew no sin that we can become a new creation. This is His calling, His Way into all Truth, and Life. We are to awaken to what Paul stated;

For in him we live, and move, and have our being; as certain also of your own poets have said, For we are also his offspring. Forasmuch then as we are the offspring of God, we ought not to think that the Godhead is like unto gold, or silver, or stone, graven by art and man’s device. And the times of this ignorance God winked at; but now commandeth all men every where to repent: Because he hath appointed a day, in the which he will judge the world in righteousness by that man whom he hath ordained; whereof he hath given assurance unto all men, in that he hath raised him from the dead.” Acts 17:28~31

Unlimited

Life in Abundance

We are inherently limited in our ability to see what is set before us. We have been told that this life is framed by certain restrictions or limitations regarding our walk into our Lord.

This is a lie, and it’s time for us to enter into our Lord with the same zeal, the same openness, the same passion that He has for us. This is without question our greatest need at this hour. We must allow our Lord to speak to us, anointing our hearts and our hearing so we can be set free from what inhibits our walk, this is none other than our nature. This is why we have been given this command.

“Hear, O Israel: The LORD our God is one LORD:  And thou shalt love the LORD thy God with all thine heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy might” Deuteronomy 6:4, 5

What we are lacking is moving into the intent of this Word. Our nature is opposed to this, and regardless of how we think, it is true.

What we need is a new revelation, a new heart, one that is fully open to our Lord. One that is supple in His hands, so that He can move in and through us as He so deeply desires to do.

Whatever we’ve seen, understood or experienced in our walk must be considered as preparation for a new Day.

Paul expressed this elequently:

That I may know him, and the power of his resurrection, and the fellowship of his sufferings, being made conformable unto his death; If by any means I might attain unto the resurrection of the dead.

Philippians 3:10, 11

The greatest love we can express to our Lord is to follow in His footsteps, being and becoming conformed unto His death. Allowing Him to overcome our nature with His nature. This is our reasonable response to His love. No longer conformed to the world of Adam, and it’s rebellious chaos. And entering His rest. This is what the Sabbath portrayes, ceasing from our ways, and entering His nature in Spirit and Truth.

Our Lord is unlimited in ability, power and authority. He is wide open in His expression, inviting us to move into Him with our whole heart. Do not think this is only a future event, or allow any thinking to limit Him. For when we do, we effectively close the door to His ability to move in us.

This is all a matter of walking in His Faith.

“Say not ye, There are yet four months, and then cometh harvest? behold, I say unto you, Lift up your eyes, and look on the fields; for they are white already to harvest” John 4:35

The same Lord that instantly changed water to wine, healed the sick, and opened the eyes of the blind is active within His body today. We must move into His unlimited Nature and allow Him in His grace to conform us in His likeness and image.

“But the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth: for the Father seeketh such to worship him. God is Spirit: and they that worship Him must worship in spirit and in truth.”

John 4:23~25

Why?

Acts of Faith

Acts chapter 4 describes a battle that the early disciples faced as the Living Word was coming forth through them. Healings were demonstrating the power and effectiveness of the Word being made flesh. The results from this were expressed in two different ways, and therein lies the story for us today.
The event that is recorded in Act 3 is one we all have knowledge of, there was a man who was lame, unable to walk, as Peter and John passed him by the man cried out for alms. The man was accustomed to begging for compassion, what he received is symbolic for each of us.

“And a man who had been lame from his mother’s womb was being carried along, whom they used to set down every day at the gate of the temple which is called Beautiful, in order to beg alms of those who were entering the temple.

When he saw Peter and John about to go into the temple, he began asking to receive alms.

But Peter, along with John, fixed his gaze on him and said, “Look at us!”

And he began to give them his attention, expecting to receive something from them.

But Peter said, “I do not possess silver and gold, but what I do have I give to you: In the name of Jesus Christ the Nazarene—walk!”

And seizing him by the right hand, he raised him up; and immediately his feet and his ankles were strengthened.

With a leap he stood upright and began to walk; and he entered the temple with them, walking and leaping and praising God.”

Acts 3:2~7

Learning how to Walk

The man from his natural birth was afflicted, and unable to walk, he in this affliction understood he needed help, and was seeking help. This is a vital point; he knew that he needed help. When Peter and John saw this man they were moved by the power of Life that was in them, and spoke Life, not from their human reasoning, but from the Living Word that was within them. “I do not possess silver and gold, but what I do have I give to you: In the name of Jesus Christ the Nazarene—walk!” The results of this are for us today to see and hear in our spirit, to look beyond the literal or historical lessons and to allow the Lord to bring His Word to Life within us. Yet there is more to this story, and there was resistance from the status quo.

“As they were speaking to the people, the priests and the captain of the temple guard and the Sadducees came up to them,

being greatly disturbed because they were teaching the people and proclaiming in Jesus the resurrection from the dead. And they laid hands on them and put them in jail until the next day, for it was already evening”

Acts 4:1~3

Here we see symbolic language, indicating the internal battle we all face as the Living Word is heard in our spirits. There are forces that are symbolized by the “the priests and the captain of the temple guard and the Sadducees” that must be overcome not by our will or power but by His Spirit. This is vital for us to see in order for us to walk in the power of His healing, resurrections form our dead ways, and walk in a realm of Spirit and Truth.

“On the next day, their rulers and elders and scribes were gathered together in Jerusalem;

and Annas the high priest was there, and Caiaphas and John and Alexander, and all who were of high-priestly descent.

When they had placed them in the center, they began to inquire, “By what power, or in what name, have you done this?”

Then Peter, filled with the Holy Spirit, said to them, “Rulers and elders of the people,

if we are on trial today for a benefit done to a sick man, as to how this man has been made well,

let it be known to all of you and to all the people of Israel, that by the name of Jesus Christ the Nazarene, whom you crucified, whom God raised from the dead—by this name this man stands here before you in good health.

“He is the STONE WHICH WAS REJECTED by you, THE BUILDERS, but WHICH BECAME THE CHIEF CORNER stone.

“And there is salvation in no one else; for there is no other name under heaven that has been given among men by which we must be saved.”

Now as they observed the confidence of Peter and John and understood that they were uneducated and untrained men, they were amazed, and began to recognize them as having been with Jesus.

And seeing the man who had been healed standing with them, they had nothing to say in reply.

But when they had ordered them to leave the Council, they began to confer with one another,

saying, “What shall we do with these men? For the fact that a noteworthy miracle has taken place through them is apparent to all who live in Jerusalem, and we cannot deny it.

“But so that it will not spread any further among the people, let us warn them to speak no longer to any man in this name.”

And when they had summoned them, they commanded them not to speak or teach at all in the name of Jesus.” Acts 4:5~18

The response voiced in Peter was the Lord ministering to those with ears to hear vital truth that we must grasp. The ruling authorities were confronted, and we must see the same is with us. This is an all-out offense to our natural thinking, or understanding. This is the establishing of His Lordship within us, and the Living Word becoming our source of Life. This what our Lord is looking for, people that will allow through grace His will to be established within them.

“But Peter and John answered and said to them, “Whether it is right in the sight of God to give heed to you rather than to God, you be the judge;

for we cannot stop speaking about what we have seen and heard.”

When they had threatened them further, they let them go (finding no basis on which to punish them) on account of the people, because they were all glorifying God for what had happened;

for the man was more than forty years old on whom this miracle of healing had been performed.

When they had been released, they went to their own companions and reported all that the chief priests and the elders had said to them.

And when they heard this, they lifted their voices to God with one accord and said, “O Lord, it is You who MADE THE HEAVEN AND THE EARTH AND THE SEA, AND ALL THAT IS IN THEM,

who by the Holy Spirit, through the mouth of our father David Your servant, said, ‘WHY DID THE GENTILES RAGE, AND THE PEOPLES DEVISE FUTILE THINGS?

‘THE KINGS OF THE EARTH TOOK THEIR STAND, AND THE RULERS WERE GATHERED TOGETHER AGAINST THE LORD AND AGAINST HIS CHRIST.’

“For truly in this city there were gathered together against Your holy servant Jesus, whom You anointed, both Herod and Pontius Pilate, along with the Gentiles and the peoples of Israel,

to do whatever Your hand and Your purpose predestined to occur.

“And now, Lord, take note of their threats, and grant that Your bond-servants may speak Your word with all confidence,

while You extend Your hand to heal, and signs and wonders take place through the name of Your holy servant Jesus.”

And when they had prayed, the place where they had gathered together was shaken, and they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak the word of God with boldness.” Acts 4:19~31

What we must see it that just as the elders, rulers, and Sadducees resisted the Lord and His Lordship in the exchange with Peter and John, this same condition in various ways exists within each of us. And we must allow the Word of God to speak within us boldly, shaking us free from the bondage of our captors, the false perceptions, and vain imaginations.

This is all about the body of Christ coming forward, and expressing His nature here and now today. When we take stock of the volatile condition of the world, it is absolutely clear there is a need for the rightful rule of our Lord. Man the corporate and individual does not know the way to Peace. This is expressed on all levels of man’s existence. This is the role for the many membered Body of Christ to come forward, and to establish His rule here today.

Today His Voice is spoken, and just as David spoke in his day, the same is true for us, why?

“O Lord, it is You who MADE THE HEAVEN AND THE EARTH AND THE SEA, AND ALL THAT IS IN THEM,

who by the Holy Spirit, through the mouth of our father David Your servant, said, ‘WHY DID THE GENTILES RAGE, AND THE PEOPLES DEVISE FUTILE THINGS?

‘THE KINGS OF THE EARTH TOOK THEIR STAND, AND THE RULERS WERE GATHERED TOGETHER AGAINST THE LORD AND AGAINST HIS CHRIST.’

Lord we hunger for your will, and your Life to fully become ours, we believe in your Word Lord, may it be so, may it be so.

Oneness of Zion

The Great Cloud and Us

“Therefore, since we have so great a cloud of witnesses surrounding us, let us also lay aside every encumbrance and the sin which so easily entangles us, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us…” ~ Hebrews 12:1

This verse and in particular the phrase ‘great cloud of witnesses’ has been on my heart, and I sense that there is something vital to see here.

The phraseology used with the word cloud, seems to tie into the literal for means of understanding. In scripture rain is seen as a blessing, as something that imparts life to earth.

There is a cycle found in nature that we can glean from. Water due to heat from the sun evaporates and rises, where it cools and condenses forming clouds. When these clouds reach a saturation point the moisture is released allowing it to return once again to the earth. This cycle is repeated over and over.

The Living Word is compared to Living Water, and this Living Water can also be likened to the Holy Spirit. We are surrounded by a great cloud of witnesses through the Spirit; those who have through the ages went before us. There is indeed an oneness with them all on a plane of Spirit. They like us are longing for a completion, and we deeply benefit from their walk.

This is the oneness of Zion, where we find each of us bring something to the table, and this is in and through the work of our Lord, and His life formed within us.

Until the Spirit is poured out upon us from on high, and the wilderness becomes a fertile field, And the fertile field is considered as a forest.” Isaiah 32:15

Although we may not see this, it is very true.

“And all these, having gained approval through their faith, did not receive what was promised,

because God had provided something better for us, so that apart from us they would not be made perfect.” ~ Hebrews 11:39, 40

The key to see here is they are not apart from us, this is the oneness we experience in Zion. Just as the water cycle indicates this, the Holy Spirit flows through Zion, we are enriched by our predecessors, as they are enriched by each of us. The veil that separates us is diminishing, and will vaporize, this is a day to eagerly press into, for this is our Fathers heart.

“So rejoice, O sons of Zion, and be glad in the LORD your God; for He has given you the early rain for your vindication. And He has poured down for you the rain, the early and latter rain as before.” ~ Joel 2:23

“He who believes in Me, as the Scripture said, ‘From his innermost being will flow rivers of living water.'”

 ~ John 7:38

May it be so Father, may it be so.
