His Word is Clear

Moses received precise instructions from God concerning the details for the Tabernacle, God communicated clearly how to construct the dwelling where He would meet Israel.

There were precise instructions for moving the Ark of the Covenant, David in his zeal overlooked this, and it resulted in the death of Uzzah. Once again details are important.

Jesus gave precise instructions, the wedding feast, healing the blind, the woman caught in adultery, the meeting place for the Passover meal, and where the faithful were to tarry prior to Pentecost are all expressing details, ones to be carried out as He intended.

Today it’s the same, remember how our Lord spoke:

“For I am the Lord, I change not…” Malachi 3:6

What our Lord is accomplishing within His disciples is of greater magnitude than a physical Tabernacle, more precious than the Ark of the Covenant, or changing water to wine.

He is redeeming what was defiled, resurrecting what was dead, reconciling what was fully opposed to Him. He is creating within His disciples the greatest feat of His entire creation, sons in His image, likeness and nature.

We must have our souls humbled before our Lord in a deeper understanding of what is before us, we must see what we don’t see, and submit more fully to the workmanship of His hands.

“A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another: just as I have loved you, you also are to love one another.”

This Love is not what we think, it is the very Nature of God, His character, quality, purity, and righteousness.

Yes Love is the greatest, because Love is the very essence of God, and this is exactly what we are to become in Him.

Humility…

Pondering earlier this morning the example of Abraham and His diversions from our Lords will, seeing these examples, and how pride robs us of patience, trust, and obedience.

From this seeing there is much that gets past us, we miss the subtle yet important whispers of our Lords voice, or even if we hear we often lack in the response.

Mistakes are an inescapable part of our humanity, humility is one of our greatest needs.

This accentuates the beauty of staying in the moment, in His presence, and understanding His grace is sufficient for whatever we are facing.

Be it walking in obedience or disobedience, for whichever way we walk, grace is what we need to move into His will.

If we are walking in obedience then grace provides our ability to fulfill this event.

If in disobedience grace provides us the ability to repent, to stop, or return to the narrow path.

Humility can never be overstated, or overvalued, for it is key to our walk into our Fathers heart and mind.

Submission is Trust

Trust and Obedience go Hand in Hand
Joseph learned obedience under Pharaoh.
Moses was led to the governing authorities for the release of Israel.
John the Baptist, submitted to the authority of his day.
Jesus had much to say about authority and demonstrated it practically.
Paul set many examples of walking his teachings out.

All set an example submission to the Lord, and to the law of the land. In this they all understood and demonstrated a principle that is valid for our day. They saw that even in the fallen systems of this age the Lord had something to express, and experience. This comes hard to hear when one has a rebellious spirit, this I know from experience.

“For rebellion is as the sin of divination, and insubordination is as iniquity and idolatry…”  ~ 1 Samuel 15:23

Submission to the Lord is where Trust is deeply experienced, and appropriated.
The Kingdom is within and our example expresses our Trust in the Lord and His ability to provide. We walk in Faith knowing that whatever may come, it’s His will that is of paramount value, and for this will to be expressed in obedience. We must be able in Spirit and Truth to look beyond what we see or know, and Trust in His Lordship at all times.

“Let every person be subject to the governing authorities. For there is no authority except from God, and those that exist have been instituted by God. Therefore whoever resists the authorities resists what God has appointed, and those who resist will incur judgment. For rulers are not a terror to good conduct, but to bad. Would you have no fear of the one who is in authority? Then do what is good, and you will receive his approval, for he is God’s servant for your good. But if you do wrong, be afraid, for he does not bear the sword in vain. For he is the servant of God, an avenger who carries out God’s wrath on the wrongdoer. Therefore one must be in subjection, not only to avoid God’s wrath but also for the sake of conscience.”    ~Romans 13:1~5

“Remind them to be submissive to rulers and authorities, to be obedient, to be ready for every good work”   ~ Titus 3:1

Be subject for the Lord’s sake to every human institution, whether it be to the emperor as supreme, or to governors as sent by him to punish those who do evil and to praise those who do good. For this is the will of God, that by doing good you should put to silence the ignorance of foolish people. ~ 1 Peter 2:13~15

“So Pilate *said to Him, “You do not speak to me? Do You not know that I have authority to release You, and I have authority to crucify You?”
Jesus answered, “You would have no authority over Me, unless it had been given you from above; for this reason he who delivered Me to you has the greater sin.” ~ John 19:10, 11

“And Jesus came and said to them, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me.”       ~ Matthew 28:18

Tent of Meeting and Relationships

“Then the whole congregation of the sons of Israel assembled themselves at Shiloh, and set up the tent of meeting there; and the land was subdued before them.” ~ Joshua 18:1

This verse is powerful, the land that is subdued is our hearts, this is a result of meeting ‘The Man with a Drawn Sword’.
Click Here to read the post”The Man with a Drawn Sword’ at Seeking the Sons Abraham

Submitting to His Rule/Scepter.

In this submission Adam is subdued,in a manner like the inhabitants of Canaan were subdued. This is the inward Kingdom being established.

We then sojourn to Shiloh and the “Tent of Meeting”, or the “assembly of the sons” we see the corporate body of Christ gathering in Spirit and Truth before the Lord. From our submission, He is more open to us, as we are more open to Him, this is the win/win scenario, a repeating cycle where the more we are subdued, the more we see, and the cycle repeats. This is where our will and the Lords will are being forged as one, and in this we are beginning to see the unmatched beauty of oneness, and His perfect will.

All that led to this gathering can be summed up in Trust becoming established. It is Trust that we sojourn out of Egypt, follow the Lord as He walks with us, parting the Red Sea before us, allowing for our separation from the enemy that pursues us, and walking through the desert gathering the manna from heaven daily.

As we embrace Him, we find the work of the cross, and the meaning behind this verse:

“Come, let us return to the LORD. For He has torn us, but He will heal us; He has wounded us, but He will bandage us”
 ~ Hosea 6:1

To embrace all that is before us, and to be gather in Spirit at Shiloh we find there is deep value in this verse:

“Trust in the LORD with all your heart And do not lean on your own understanding.

In all your ways acknowledge Him, And He will make your paths straight.”

~ Proverbs 3:5,6

His grace that enables us to Trust and obey as He opens our hearts to His perfect will. This becomes are greatest joy, to yield to our Lord and see the beautiful relationships that develops from this.

“My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me;

and I give eternal life to them, and they will never perish; and no one will snatch them out of My hand.” ~ John 10:27

There are no substitutes for Trust and obedience, this is the Lords Love language.

In the realm of the Tent of Meeting we are walking in a realm that previously was not seen, or experienced by us, and it holds deep meaning to the Lord and to us. For it is here we meet the Lord on His terms and rejoice in His presence.

“You worship what you do not know; we worship what we know, for salvation is from the Jews.
“But an hour is coming, and now is, when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth; for such people the Father seeks to be His worshipers.
“God is spirit, and those who worship Him must worship in spirit and truth.”
~ John 4:22~24
